Phase 1

Assistance with testwork and pilot plant prgrams

Initial modelling for analysis to make sense of lab and pilot plant results

Preparation of initial Process Design Criteria (PDC)

Preparation of initial Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) with matching steady state model through development phase

Preparation of initial Control Philosophy Diagrams (CPDs) Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) through development phase.

Preparation of an initial 3D model to place major items as starting point.

Create initial walkthrough model for PR, fund raising etc.

 

Phase 2

Maintain control for development of steady state model and PFDs

Maintain control of development of PDCs and supporting documents

Set guidelines for preparation of design flow and ensure they are followed consistantly

Continue with development of P&IDs to point where the process requiremenst are fully defined

Develop steady state models for specific cases to explore design options or answer specific questions,

Start development of dynamic model and prototype control system based on P&IDs

Update 3D model using engineering models as available.

Continue development of steady state model and update data for mass balance.

Report on key differences between revisions of model.

Continue with specific model cases to explore design options.

Do specific design reports using specialised knnowledge of thermodynamics and process and equipment behaviour.

Continue to update walkthrough 3D models as engineering model revised.

Continue development of dynamic process model and prototype control system.

Produce first pass Control Philosophy and Functional Description based on the WISE system (virtual plant).

Continue all of above through design phase.
